Originally from Reno, NV,  now living in Portland, OR. Airplanes, cars, and fishing have been my biggest passions for as long as I can remember and remain in my life on a daily basis.
What's my main focus? Everything! As much as I love shooting loud race cars, I enjoy a peaceful landscape or wildlife.
Photography has always been nothing more than a hobby to me, and everything I know is from books, YouTube videos, and countless trial and error. I began taking it seriously as the years went on and continue to look for ways to expand my knowledge and experience.
What do I shoot with?
My workhorse is a Nikon D5600 DSLR that was purchased in 2017. It's traveled with me everywhere and shot everything from race cars, planes, people and landscapes. Very inexpensive and versatile body for a beginner.

What is my favorite lens?
My favorite lens is a 24-70mm f2.8. Huge aperture and a solid focal length range is good to take for any unplanned subjects. It is comparable to carrying a concrete brick so if i don't feel like a workout I settle for the 50mm.

Any advice for newbies?
The best camera available is the one you know how to use. As tempting as it is to sell gear and upgrade for thousands of dollars, knowing how to truly use an entry level DSLR and manipulate settings is just as powerful. Lenses make the noticeable difference when it comes to image quality.
What do I drive?

 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport
